George Massingale, 67, whose two daughters reside in Crawfordsville died Tuesday at his home in Evarts, Ky. A retired coal miner, he was a member of the Evarts Baptist Church. He was born March 21, 1912 in Tazewell, Tenn., son of James and Martha Earls Massingale. He married Maggie Richards in 1935. She survives as do two daughters, Mrs. Bill (Joyce) Watkins and Mrs. Walter (Sue) Shelton, both of Crawfordsville; a brother, Lee; six grandchildren and three great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, 10 brothers and one sister. Services at 2 p.m. Friday at Lewis Funeral Home in Evarts. - kbz
